Pick Up a Handy Welding Spoon without Forking Over a Lot of Cash!

For any serious welder out there, a Welding Spoon is a must-have accessory for making your work just a little easier.  And if you’re a welding novice who has never heard of a Welding Spoon before then here’s your introduction to a great tool that will help you in filling holes while welding!  If you’re looking to create a smooth, flat surface when filling a hole in metal, you’ll need this reliable welding accessory to ensure professional results.

Even though it may not be used in every project, the Welding Spoon is a tool that many professional welders consider essential.  By placing the curved copper plate behind the hole you’re trying to fill, the Spoon not only supports the weld but also absorbs the heat, allowing for a cleaner finish.  In fact, with this tool in your arsenal, you’ll be able to fill holes without leaving any evidence at all that there was a hole there in the first place.  And best of all, at just $9.49, this inexpensive item won’t leave too big a hole in your tool budget either.

And what do our customers think?

“Made welding thin sheet metal easier. Just getting back into welding and this really works well.” – by SOCAL SCOUT from Irvine, CA

Thanks, SOCAL, for that review.   Short and sweet, just like your next project will be when you have this great Welding Spoon from Harbor Freight Tools in your Welding Cabinet.  With a dimpled vinyl grip, this welding accessory is both easy and comfortable to use.  And while you may not use it often, when the time comes to fill holes in metal, you’ll be glad you filled your tool box with this simple welding accessory!

Harbor Freight Tools for Rust Repair

Custom Classic Trucks Uses Harbor Freight Tools for a Rust Repair Project:

The procurement and care of a classic car is a labor of love. You can’t just buy and drive it. You want to maintain it, restore, repair and baby it. Unfortunately, that can sometimes require some serious scratch. When it comes to owning a 40+ year old car, one of the biggest challenges is rust. Don’t think I haven’t been eyeing that “patina” in the bed of my ’72 GMC 2500 Sierra Grande. So far, both mechanically and cosmetically, I’ve been real lucky with the truck, but if something’s going to sneak up and bite me in the butt, it’ll probably be hidden rust.

In their March, April and May 2014 issues, Rotten Rodney Bauman and his team ran a three-part series in Custom Classic Trucks on a complete rust reconnaissance and repair job on a recently-acquired 1971 GMC pickup (right). As they went through the process of identifying and treating the damaged areas, Mr. Rotten gets invaluable use from his Central Pneumatic 3/8″ Reversible Air Drill and Central Pneumatic 3 In. Extended Reach Air Cutoff Tool as well as assorted chisel bits and a Central Pneumatic Air Punch Flange Tool they bought years ago .

Central Pneumatic tools are priced right,” said Rotten Rodney, “and I can get more (should I need to) right down the street.”

Get a Load of These Steel Loading Ramps!

Getting large equipment, ATVs, or anything heavy into the bed of your pick-up truck is now easier than ever! The days of straining your back and begging unwilling neighbors for help are gone thanks to the easy-to-use Steel Loading Ramps from Harbor Freight Tools.  With these simple ramps on hand, you’ll have no trouble loading recreational vehicles, appliances, motorbikes, and anything up to 1,000 pounds into your truck, van, or trailer.  And they’re more reliable and safer than wooden planks or self-made ramps.  Because, let’s face it, when you’re working with heavy items, safety should be priority number one.

Whether you’re taking the big air compressor out to the job site, loading your riding mower for repairs, or taking an old refrigerator off to the junk yard, there’s no telling when you might need to load up or unload some heavy stuff.  The loading ramps take a split second to set up and, when you’re done, they store easily in your truck or workshop.  And if that info doesn’t get you ramped up for these helpful items, maybe these actual customer reviews will:

“Have had these for 20 years or more. Mainly use them to load a 500 lb. electric wheelchair in my minivan (use them to load everything and anything that has wheels too… rider mower, go-cart, steam cleaner and even some things that don’t).  Well worth it.” – by stonekeeper from Pennsylvania

“These are great. Yes they are a bit heavy and don’t fold but these will get the job done. No issues and I have not flexed one yet. Use them all the time too. Abuse them also with no issues.” – by GiXeR from Midlothian, Va

“I use these all the time for loading stuff into my enclosed trailer, to load heavy boxes, etc… They are very safe and have stood up to my everyday use for the last year and half. I even ran over them once with my farm tractor, 100 HP tractor. Didn’t hurt them. So don’t be afraid to buy.” – by Dishtech43 Dave from Parts Unknown

Even if you use these ramps frequently, they hold up and make your life a little bit easier.  I certainly wouldn’t recommend running them over with your tractor but it’s nice to know that Dishtech Dave has done the research for us.  So if you’re looking for an easy way to load stuff onto your vehicle, don’t be afraid to buy these tough Steel Loading Ramps at your local Harbor Freight store!

Safely Handles Small Jobs!

In case I’m not pressing the point enough, check out what some actual customers had to say:

“I am using this press to squeeze the juice of vegetables and fruits from the production of a meat grinder. It is tough enough for that and its four inch throat guarantees a small pressing area and ensures enough pressure to adequately squeeze my fruit and vegetable pulp through a flour sack towel. That gives me juice without the pulp. I am not using it for its intended use so my comment may inspire someone else to find another non-standard use for this arbor press. I no longer work on cars professionally, but it may serve double duty at some time in the future.” — xenonracerx from Las Vegas, NV

“I use this to press bearings in and piston pins, also have fixed body panels with it. A+ and a great value cant go wrong” —  Joel from Rogers, MN

“I use this press to press in leaf spring bushing on almost all my suspension projects. I mounted it into my vise and press in all the bushing with no problem. A lot faster than using my 20 ton h frame press.” — James the fabricator from Lakewood, Wa

And I’m willing to be that James the Fabricator is telling the truth despite his profile name.  Bigger or more powerful presses can’t handle the smaller jobs tackled by the 1 ton arbor press. For smaller work pieces, you’ll want to be sure to use a press that can handle the work safely while still applying enough force. And while you’re at it, be sure to get a good look at Harbor Freight’s line of vices too. The 6″ Portable Carpenter’s Vise or the 4” Drill Press Vice are a great addition to work you may be doing on the arbor press.

You’ll be hard pressed to find another arbor press for sale at the same low cost as this one offered by Harbor Freight. Other retailers sell similar presses for much more!
